Ceremonies rooted in what matters

Hello, I'm Clara

I've been crafting and leading bespoke ceremonies across Sheffield and South Yorkshire for over eight years. What drew me to this work wasn't a single moment — it was a gradual, growing conviction that the ceremonies marking our greatest milestones deserve to feel real, personal, and full of meaning.

I trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and quickly found my rhythm working with families who wanted something different — ceremonies that told their own story, in their own words, in places that felt right to them.

Whether I'm standing beneath ancient oaks in the Peak District, beside a candlelit window in a Sheffield barn, or in the quiet hush of a crematorium, I bring the same care, the same attentiveness, and the same deep respect to every single ceremony I lead.

My Approach

I begin with listening. We'll talk properly — about the people involved, the stories worth telling, the music that moves you, the words that feel true. Then I write a ceremony that is completely and entirely yours. No templates, no off-the-shelf scripts.

I believe deeply in nature as a presence in ceremony — the grounding quality of open air, the quiet dignity of a woodland, the peace of a garden. Many of my ceremonies take place outdoors across the Peak District, Derbyshire and Sheffield's green spaces, though I'm equally at home in barns, halls, and intimate indoor settings.

Beyond the Script

I'll always meet you in person before your ceremony — at least twice for weddings. I handle all the behind-the-scenes coordination, timing, and last-minute nerves so that on the day, you're completely free to simply be present in the moment.

Your wedding ceremony should be the most personal part of your whole day — not a formality to get through, but the very heart of it. I create ceremonies that are entirely, completely yours: your love story, your vows, your rituals, your voices.

As a celebrant, I'm free from the restrictions of religious or civil ceremony scripts. That means we can write whatever we want — poetry, personal vows, unity rituals, stories from your relationship, readings from friends. The ceremony reflects the two of you in every single line.

I'm available at all types of venues across Sheffield, the Peak District, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire — woodland clearings, barn conversions, walled gardens, city rooftops, Chatsworth estate and beyond. If you can dream it, we can make it happen.

I'm experienced in non-religious ceremonies, and am happy to incorporate spiritual or hybrid elements where that feels right for your family.

Vow renewals can be as intimate as two people in a garden, or as celebratory as a hundred friends gathered around you. There are no legal requirements, which means complete creative freedom — we write your ceremony entirely around what feels right for you.

A naming ceremony is a beautiful, inclusive way to welcome your child into your family and community — whether or not you follow a religious tradition. It's a chance to gather the people who will shape your child's life, to make promises, to give thanks, and to celebrate the miracle of a new person in the world.

I work with all types of families — same-sex couples, blended families, single parents, families of all faiths and none. What matters is the love, the joy, and the people who show up. I create a ceremony that reflects your family's own values, your sense of humour, and the things you hope for your child's future.

Guide parents (the secular equivalent of godparents) can be included, with their own personal pledges and promises. Siblings, grandparents, and friends can all take part in readings, rituals, or symbolic gestures. This is your child's ceremony — and it can be as unique as they will be.
